My parents had me sit down at the computer about 8 to 10 years ago and write a paper for school on the NLEOMF. I went to the site and understood comletely how they fell in love with the NLEOM and why they feel so passionate about it. I consider it something they passed onto me to be an active supporter of even though I'm not a police officer yet. To see how many names are on the wall & to think of the mums (and dads) left behind, especially with children makes me want to do anything I can to help keep the memorial going. My mum and I both have the NLEOM logo of the badge & rose tattooed on our arms with "They Shall Not Be Forgotten". My prayer is although many officers have been killed this year already exceding last year, that next year the statistics will be lower. It takes men like my dad & him brother coworkers with bravery to want to protect the puplic & hearing him talk since I came back from Iraq is making me more excited about making tht decision. This is a long response but I just want to thank The Memorial & all the brave men & women who are willing to risk their lives for others. What special people! God bless them all! As my mum stated, "Kudos to John Langley". Sir, I'm young but must say Im very proud to read this blog.
